STEM-EC Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics - Coalition of Business and Education
STEM-EC is a dynamic group of committed business leaders, educators, and community advocates working to better connect industry and the K-16 academic community in efforts to graduate more students with the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills needed to meet the needs of Colorado’s science and technology employers. Home to such companies as Qwest, Lockheed Martin Space Systems, BB2e.com, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett Packard and CH2M HILL, the Metro Denver area is a hub for technology companies in need of talented young people to fill future jobs.
Thunder Ridge High School - presented with a sponsorship check of $5,000 by BURT Automotive to fund the science club's research into renewable energy.
